The Carolina Hurricanes have signed forward prospect Jackson Blake to a three-year, entry-level contract. The 20-year-old is a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award as the top men's hockey player in the NCAA. Skating for the University of North Dakota, Blake sits fourth among NCAA skaters with 22 goals and 60 points across 40 games as a Sophomore. North Dakota's season came to an end with a 4-3 loss to Michigan in the first round of the NCAA tournament on March 29. Blake is the son of former NHLer Jason Blake. It's unclear if he will suit up for the 'Canes this season as they sit second in the Metropolitan Division, three points back of the New York Rangers with three games remaining.--Brenton KempRead More News
