Hunter Strickland Throws In Arizona League
6 years agoSan Francisco Giants relief pitcher Hunter Strickland (hand) tossed an inning for the team's rookie level Arizona team on Sunday, but he must wait two more weeks before he can be activated from the 60-day disabled list. Strickland was solid before his injury, posting a 2.84 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, 8.2 K/9 and 13 saves. However, Will Smith has done a nice job in the closer's role, and it's unknown if the Giants will throw Strickland right back into the ninth when he's eligible to return. Either way, he should still be owned in the majority of leagues by owners that are in need of saves.
