Hunter Pence Makes Changes To Swing
6 years agoFree-agent outfielder Hunter Pence made some swing changes already in the offseason and is eager to test them out in winter ball. He also made changes to the way he runs as he tries to stay healthy in 2019 for a new team. Pence will play in the Dominican winter league for the Toros del Este, starting on Dec. 5. The veteran outfielder hit just .226 with four home runs last season, while also stealing just five bases in 97 games. He'll be 36 in April and is unlikely to land a starting gig with another team at this point. If healthy, he could be used for depth purposes in deep mixed and single-universe leagues.
