Hunter Goodman Promoted To Triple-A
1 year agoColorado Rockies power-hitting prospect Hunter Goodman, the team's No. 13 prospect per MLB Pipeline, was promoted to Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday. The 23-year-old fourth-rounder hit 25 home runs and 24 doubles at Double-A Hartford to earn the promotion, and he celebrated his promotion with a grand slam in his Triple-A debut. He played first base on Tuesday but has mostly served as a catcher while occasionally playing the corner-outfield spots. Power reliever Victor Vodnik, the team's No. 22 prospect, also got a promotion to Albuquerque after coming over in a trade from the Braves at the deadline. Vodnik had 56 K's in 40 2/3 innings at Double-A Mississippi and is a candidate for a big-league promotion before season's end. Colorado also promoted infielder Sterlin Thompson (No. 9 prospect) to Hartford from High-A Spokane and lefty Mason Albright (No. 21) from Single-A Fresno to Spokane.
