Hue Jackson Not Expected To Take Over Play-Calling
6 years agoCleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson said there are no plans for him to take over the offensive play-calling after the Week 7 overtime loss to the Buccaneers. Cleveland currently ranks 21st in yards per game (357.4), 23rd in passing yards per game (222.4), fifth in rushing yards per game (135) and 23rd in points per game (21.6). The running game obviously hasn't been a problem, but the Browns would like to make their passing game more consistent around rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield. The problem is that there just isn't much talent or experience behind wide receiver Jarvis Landry.
