How Much Exposure Should You Have To Bubba Wallace This Weekend?
9 months agoComing off of back-to-back fifth-place finishes, Bubba Wallace will look to continue his momentum on Sunday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where he will start fifth in the Pennzoil 400 presented by Jiffy Lube. Despite the hot start he is off to in 2024, look for things to cool down for him this weekend when NASCAR visits the Entertainment Capital of the World. Since 2022, Wallace has been underwhelming in the Nevada desert, as he has struggled to maintain track position in races on this course. In his four starts in the NextGen car, the eight-year Cup veteran's average starting position is 11.5, while his average finishing position is 19.5. With this said, while Wallace's tendency to go backward on this track is concerning, we cannot completely fade him in DFS either. Out of the last 14 races on low tire-wear tracks, the No. 23 has been in the DraftKings optimal lineup six times, which is tied for the most in the Cup Series. When faced with conflicting data like we have for Wallace this weekend, it's best to err on the side of caution and limit your exposure to no more than 10% when building your lineups.
