1 year agoHideki Matsuyama has been trending in the wrong direction when it comes to results in a major. The Japanese golfer thrived at The Masters while ending up tied for 16th. After that, the PGA Championship saw Matsuyama drop to 29th. Then, the US Open, where there needed to be a little more scrambling. He blew up on Sunday shooting a 75 on a day where 70 or better The putter has been average ranking 112th on tour. He does scramble well from close and his 55% sand save rate ranks 30th overall.
