Heliot Ramos Reassigned To Minor League Camp Saturday
4 years agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder Heliot Ramos was reassigned to Minor League camp on Saturday, reports Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle. One of the top prospects in the Giants' system, Ramos was slashing .393/.414/.750 with three homers, six RBI and a stolen base in 13 games. Expect Ramos to spend at least the first couple months of the season in the minors, but if the Giants outfield is struck by injury or players underperforming, Ramos will likely be one of the first options they turn to. When he gets the call, managers in NL-only or deep-mixed leagues should scoop him up off the waiver-wire, while managers in shallow-mixed leagues should wait and see how he does before targeting him.
