Hector Neris Tosses Scoreless Inning In Return
6 years agoAfter getting demoted to Triple-A following multiple disastrous outings as the closer of the Philadelphia Phillies, reliever Hector Neris was brought back after Edubray Ramos went on the DL with a right shoulder impingement. Neris would appear in Monday night’s game against the New York Yankees coming on in relief of starter Vince Velasquez. His return would be a successful one, as he tossed a scoreless inning, striking out two batters along the way. The 29-year-old is desperately hoping for a better stint in the majors after posting a 6.00 ERA with a 1-3 record prior to his demotion.
