Hayden Birdsong Performing Well At Double-A
6 months agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitching prospect Hayden Birdsong has performed well through his first extended look at Double-A this season. The number six ranked prospect in the San Francisco system got a taste of Double-A but tossed only 23 innings to the tune of a poor 5.48 ERA and 1.48 WHIP. However, this season, the 22-year-old has posted a stellar 1.96 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, and 18:53 BB:K ratio. The former sixth-round selection has looked incredible in his past four starts with a 1.29 ERA and 1.05 WHIP. The right-hander is projected to reach the majors sometime in 2025, but that ETA could change due to how well he is performing this season. He should be expected to join Triple-A soon and could be worth stashing later in the summer in dynasty formats.
