Harrison Bader Sent Down to Triple-A
5 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Harrison Bader was sent down to Triple-A on Monday. Lane Thomas was called up to the big league club in a corresponding move. Bader has always had nice upside, but he's been having an awful season, slashing just .195/.309/.339. He's somehow been even worse over the past 36 games, with a puny .103/.205/.128 line. He's barely been playing lately, so he'll get to work at Triple-A and try to get his swing back. In the meantime, Dexter Fowler will get consistent playing time in center field with Lane Thomas mixing in from time to time.
