Hansel Robles Picks Up Ninth Save
3 years agoMinnesota Twins relief pitcher Hansel Robles worked a five-out save to lock down a victory against the Detroit Tigers Friday. Robles' control was strong, as he threw 17 of 24 pitches for strikes, fanning two batters while allowing just one Tiger to reach base. The effort lowered his ERA and WHIP to 4.19 and 1.37, respectively, though he possesses some very foreboding Statcast metrics. There's a chance that Robles becomes the full-time closer if Taylor Rogers is moved at the deadline, but he would remain a risky fantasy asset given the amount of hard contact he allows.
