1 year agoSan Diego Padres infielder Ha-Seong Kim (toe) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the New York Mets. The 27-year-old jammed his toe during Friday's loss versus the Mets and is considered day-to-day. The toe injury came at the wrong time for Kim, who was starting to heat up at the plate. He had collected a hit in five of his last six games and swiped three bags during that span. His next chance to return to the lineup will be Sunday's series finale versus the Mets. Matthew Batten is batting eighth and will handle second base duties while Kim is out. Batten was recalled from Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday and will make his season debut Saturday.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
