Guardians Option Logan Allen
4 months agoPitcher Logan Allen was optioned by the Cleveland Guardians Tuesday in a series of moves that also saw the team bring up pitcher Anthony Gose while designating pitcher Xzavion Curry for assignment. Allen was 8-4 but had an ERA of 5.56 and a WHIP of 1.56 over 92 1/3 innings over 19 appearances. Gose, a former outfield prospect of the Toronto Blue Jays, has not appeared in the majors since 2022. He was 5-4 with a 3.29 ERA and 1.304 WHIP in 35 appearances in Triple-A Columbus, recording 10 saves. Curry was 0-2 with a 5.84 ERA and 1.378 WHIP in seven games (four starts) with the Guardians. Neither of the moves offers much fantasy impact.
