Griffin Jax Earns Second Win After Solid Performance
3 years agoMinnesota Twins pitcher Griffin Jax earned his second victory of the season over a tough Astros lineup Thursday. Jax went 5 1/3 innings, surrendering just one run on three hits while walking one. He didn't record any strikeouts and pitched to a fair amount of contact, but he was able to keep the ball in the park, inducing seven groundballs and nine fly balls. Jax has allowed just three runs over his last 14 1/3 innings, seemingly earning his keep in the Twins' rotation. However, the low strikeout rate and high barrel rate seem likely to catch up to him eventually, making him avoidable in fantasy formats.
