5 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Griffin Canning (elbow) is scheduled to get a second opinion on Thursday, and the Angels will provide an update on his status on Friday. Canning is dealing with some elbow issues this spring, and he seems likely to miss the start of the regular season. Depending on the tests, the promising young right-hander could also miss extended time or need to go under the knife. As a result, he's dropping considerably in mixed league drafts because of the uncertainty. If healthy, though, the 23-year-old isn't a bad option to round out your staff in deep mixed leagues.
