Gregory Soto Tagged With His Second Loss
3 years agoDetroit Tigers relief pitcher Gregory Soto had a rough outing against the Minnesota Twins on Monday. Soto entered the game in the ninth inning and went on to pitch into the 10th, before the Twins put the game away on a walk-off single from Max Kepler. Soto pitched 1 2/3 innings in total, allowing one hit, four walks and an unearned run while striking out three. The four walks were a season-high for Soto, who had only allowed multiple walks on two occasions this year prior to Monday's game. He was tagged with the loss, dropping his record to 4-2 on the year. Soto could find himself in a new home prior to this week's trade deadline. He's had a great year out of the Tigers' pen with a 2.59 ERA and 1.37 WHIP.
