Gregory Soto Converts 18th Save Of Season Tuesday
2 years agoDetroit Tigers closer Gregory Soto picked up his 18th save of the season in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Royals. Soto came in to pitch the ninth inning up by two. He struck the first hitter out, allowed a double, and got the next two hitters out on groundouts to end the game. The 27-year-old has been a reliable fantasy option so far this season, compiling a 2.59 ERA with 32 strikeouts and 15 walks over 31 1/3 innings pitched. The walks have been an issue at times, but Soto's conversion of save opportunities should afford him some job security, and there is no reason fantasy managers should not have him in their lineups at all times for now.
