Gregory Polanco Playing In Minor League Games
6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Gregory Polanco (shoulder) played five innings in a minor league game on Sunday and was slated to play five more innings in a Triple-A game on Tuesday. Polanco responded well in his first game and reported only normal body soreness. The 27-year-old had left shoulder surgery in the offseason and is expected to miss at least the first month of the season. He's still worth stashing in most leagues, though, after hitting .254/.340/.499 with a career-high 23 home runs, 81 RBI and 12 stolen bases in 2018. Some combination of Lonnie Chisenhall and Pablo Reyes should handle right field until Polanco returns.
