Greg Holland Converts His Fourth Save On Friday
3 years agoKansas City Royals relief pitcher Greg Holland closed out Friday's 5-3 win over the Boston Red Sox to earn his fourth save of the year. He pitched a scoreless ninth inning, allowing no hits or walks while striking out one. The Royals have been going through a dreadful stretch the past few weeks as they'd lost 12 of 13 games before Friday's win. Holland's save on Friday was only the team's second save of the month. The first went to Scott Barlow on June 3. Holland might have the upper hand in save opportunities for the team right now, but it's tough to trust. Josh Staumont could still be in the picture as well, though he hasn't recorded a save since May 19. Holland is worth an add for fantasy managers desperate for saves.
