6 years agoNew York Yankees first baseman Greg Bird was taking repetitions at third base before the game on Tuesday. Bird hasn't played third base since high school, but the injury to Miguel Andujar (shoulder) has caused the Yankees to think about other options. It's unlikely that Bird would even see enough starts at the hot corner to gain eligibility there for fantasy owners, but it's not out of the question if Andujar needs season-ending surgery. DJ LeMahieu should see most of the stars at third until Andujar is able to return, making him more attractive in deeper mixed leagues for the time being.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
