5 years agoCincinnati Reds third baseman Eugenio Suarez (hand) said tests on his left hand came back negative after he was hit by a pitch in the eighth inning of the loss to the Pirates on Wednesday. It's notable since Suarez fractured his thumb on a similar hit by pitch last season. The 27-year-old should be able to return to the lineup on Friday after an off day on Thursday. He's hitting .279/.361/.552 with 14 long balls, 31 runs, 39 RBI and one steal on the season and is a must-start anytime he's playing.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
