Golden State Expresses Confidence In James Wiseman
2 years agoGolden State Warriors center James Wiseman (knee) has been consistently participating in pickup games at the team's facility over the past month, head coach Steve Kerr revealed, citing that the team is looking to find ways to integrate the 21-year-old into the rotation. The second overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft did not suit up last season due to knee issues, which allowed Kevon Looney to emerge as the team's starting center and defensive stalwart, culminating in the veteran inking a three-year, $25.5 million extension. Wiseman has appeared in just 39 regular-season games (27 starts) but he has averaged 11.5 points and 5.8 rebounds in that time. The big man's fantasy viability is unclear as Golden State determines his role in the rotation at the start of the '22-23 year.
