7 years agoNew York Yankees rookie Gleyber Torres continued his sensational first month in the majors on Monday in Arlington against the Rangers. The 21-year-old drilled a mammoth two-run home run in the third inning, increasing his club’s early lead to three runs. In the sixth, he stepped up after the Rangers had briefly tied the game. With the Yankees having regained their lead, Torres connected on his second home run of the game, putting the Bronx Bombers up 6-4. It was the first multi-homer game of his career, bringing his season totals to .321 with six home runs and 18 RBI thus far.--RDelgado
