Gleyber Torres Goes Yard In Saturday's Victory
3 years agoNew York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres went 1-for-2 with a home run and a walk in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Boston Red Sox. Torres immediately followed up Gary Sanchez's solo blast with a round-tripper of his own, registering an exit velocity of 98.5 MPH on the 380-foot homer. The 24-year-old hadn't homered since June 5, so it was a good sign to see him leave the yard, though it's very disappointing that he's only tallied four homers thus far. The talent is still there for Torres to turn things around, which gives fantasy managers who are still holding on faith that he can find his power swing down the stretch.
