Gleyber Torres Sets Personal Home Run Record
6 years agoEntering Wednesday’s game between the New York Yankees and Washington Nationals, rookie infielder Gleyber Torres had 11 home runs for the big league club. That total was tied for the most he’d hit in any level of professional baseball, meaning he broke his personal record in less than two months. Since his arrival at the beginning of May, he’s tied for the second most home runs hit and is now tied for most in the American League. While it was the 21-year-old’s only hit of the night, it remains truly impressive that he continues to deliver like this from the ninth spot in the order. He's been a must-start in most leagues.
