Glenn Otto Strikes Out Five Batters
2 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Glenn Otto experienced mixed results during Friday's Cactus League opener. The right-hander struck out five batters over two innings of work. However, he also walked a batter and gave up two runs on a two-run home run in the opening frame. The good news is, Otto rebounded nicely, but he'll still have an uphill battle to make the starting rotation. It wouldn't be shocking to see Otto in Texas at some point during the season. However, it'll likely take an injury or two for him to make the Opening Day roster. Possibly, the Rangers give him a chance out of the bullpen, so Otto can get some work on the MLB roster. Although, Otto won't carry much fantasy value unless he's in the starting rotation.
