5 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals relief pitcher Giovanny Gallegos struggled in a split-squad Grapefruit League game against the Miami Marlins on Wednesday. He pitched just 2/3 of an inning, allowing three runs on two hits and a walk. It was the first appearance of the spring for the projected Cardinals closer, and likely nothing to worry about. His next outing will be important, just to make sure he's healthy. Gallegos will have plenty of fantasy value in mixed leagues if he ends up with the full time closer's role in St. Louis.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
