6 years agoThe New York Yankees appointed relief pitcher Giovanny Gallegos as their "26th man" for Monday's doubleheader. Gallegos pitched extremely well in three relief innings against the Philadelphia Phillies on June 27 (no runs, six strikeouts), but came back down to earth against the Boston Red Sox on June 30 (two innings, three earned runs). Considering the Yankees have two games on Monday — one in which Luis Cessa is starting — the team is probably preparing to give the bullpen all the help they can get. Gallegos has good stuff but isn't on the fantasy radar as of yet.--Mauricio Castillo
