Gio Urshela Out With Leg Injury On Wednesday
3 years agoNew York Yankees third baseman Gio Urshela (leg) is out of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against Danny Duffy and the Kansas City Royals. DJ LeMahieu is shifting over to cover third base in the game. Urshela was removed from Tuesday's game after he was hit by a pitch on his left shin. He was very clearly in pain after the incident. He has dealt with left knee issues this year, so it's certainly concerning that he was hit on that same left leg. He should be considered day-to-day at this point. Over 64 games on the year, Urshela has slashed .273/.317/.442 with nine home runs, 31 RBI and 24 runs.
