Gio Gonzalez Makes Rehab Appearance
5 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Gio Gonzalez (arm) allowed four hits and two earned runs while walking none and striking out two in two innings of his rehab start for High-A Carolina on Wednesday. It was the left-hander's first rehab outing since landing on the injured list on June 1 with dead arm. Gonzalez has been good for the Brew Crew and fantasy owners, going 2-1 with a 3.19 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 26 strikeouts in 31 innings over six starts. He's unlikely to remain that good the rest of the way, but the veteran has streaming appeal in mixed leagues in the right matchups. Gonzalez could be back in the rotation later this month.
