Gio Gonzalez Has Short Outing Saturday
5 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Gio Gonzalez gave up one run on five hits and a walk through 4 1/3 innings in Saturday's no decision against the Cubs. Gonzalez was skipped his last start due to a tight left shoulder, so it's no surprise he was on a pitch count today. Gonzalez is riding a 3.48 ERA so far this season and is set to take on the Rangers next Friday. Considering the Rangers are 8th in runs and 10th in OPS so far this season, it may be a good idea to sit Gonzalez, especially if the Brewers decide to keep him on a pitch count again.
