5 years agoThe Milwaukee Brewers are placing starting pitcher Gio Gonzalez (arm) on the 10-day injured list on Saturday with what manager Craig Counsell described as a case of dead arm. Catcher Manny Pina (hamstring) was activated from the injured list in a corresponding move. Gonzalez isn't experiencing any pain, and it might be related to the fact that he signed with the team late this year. The 33-year-old left-hander might not be out for long. He's been serviceable as a deep league streamer by going 2-1 with a 3.19 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 26 strikeouts in 31 innings over six starts with the Brew Crew.
