6 years agoIt's unclear how big of a contract the San Francisco Giants will/have offered free-agent outfielder Bryce Harper, but the belief is that they have a shot at him and the Phillies have a tough road to get something done. The Giants are believed to want more of a short-term deal, but Harper is trying to break the 10-year, $300 million deal that Manny Machado agreed to with the Padres on Tuesday. San Fran could be reconsidering their position based on the fact that the Phillies haven't closed the deal yet on Harper. San Francisco wouldn't be the best place for Harper to go from a fantasy standpoint, but the 26-year-old remains a top-20 fantasy player no matter where he lands in free agency.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
