6 years agoThe New York Giants signed free-agent running back Rod Smith to an undisclosed deal on Wednesday. He spent most of the last four seasons with the Cowboys and will compete for a backup role behind Saquon Barkley with Wayne Gallman, Paul Perkins, Elijah Penny, Robert Martin and Jon Hilliman. Smith was mostly a backup to Ezekiel Elliott in Dallas and is unlikely to have any fantasy relevance with his new team in the same division. He has 101 career rushing attempts for 364 yards (3.6 average) and five touchdowns.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
