Giants Settle With Joe Panik, Sam Dyson
6 years agoThe San Francisco Giants avoided salary arbitration with second baseman Joe Panik and relief pitcher Sam Dyson on Friday. Panik reached an agreement on a one-year, $3.85 million deal, while Dyson agreed for one year and $5 million. Panik hit .254 with four home runs and 24 RBI in 2018 in 102 games while dealing with injuries. He doesn't do anything particularly well for fantasy owners and is mainly an NL-only asset. Dyson was 4-3 with a 2.69 ERA in a team-high 74 outings, and he also saved three games. Dyson has been up and down the last few seasons and won't have much fantasy value in a setup role.
