Giants List Ronald Guzman As Two-Way Player
2 years agoThe San Francisco Giants are listing Ronald Guzman as an infielder and left-handed pitcher. Guzman joined the Giants on a minor-league deal this offseason after playing in only three major-league games for the New York Yankees in 2022. He appeared in one game as a reliever at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre last year and can hit the high-90s with his fastball. It will give the 28-year-old another avenue in order to stick with the big-league team in 2023, but he won't be on anyone's fantasy radar to begin the season. Guzman has played in only 10 big-league games the last two years and holds a .225/.302/.410 career slash line with a .712 OPS, 31 home runs and 104 RBI in five major-league seasons (four with the Texas Rangers).
