Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bucks Agree To Extension
1 year agoMilwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo agreed to a three-year, $186 million extension with the team on Monday night. The 28-year-old has been one of the most dominant players in the National Basketball Association for a while now, and he finished last season by averaging a career-high 31.1 points per game. Antetokounmpo is also a two-time MVP, a multi-time All-Star, and led the Bucks to an NBA championship in 2021. Yet, there was a period during the offseason when he was non-committal about agreeing to a new deal, so many believed his days in Milwaukee were numbered. But the front office demonstrated their dedication toward capturing another title by trading for superstar guard Damian Lillard a few weeks ago, which was enough to get the 2013 No. 15 overall pick to pledge his allegiance to the franchise. Nonetheless, Antetokounmpo is better suited for non-category fantasy formats due to his troubles shooting the ball, specifically from behind the arc and charity stripe. At the same time, his inability to remain healthy is a problem for everyone. However, The Greek Freak would make a welcome addition to any fantasy roster, especially since he appears more motivated than ever.
