Giancarlo Stanton Stays Hot In Wednesday's Victory
3 years agoNew York Yankees designated hitter/outfielder Giancarlo Stanton had another productive night at the plate in a blowout win over the Orioles Wednesday. After driving in four runs Tuesday, Stanton followed up the effort with a three-RBI night, clearing a bases-loaded situation with a double that dropped in between Orioles' fielders. The slugger endured a rough July that saw his slugging percentage plummet to .333, along with 31 strikeouts compared to 12 walks, though his fiery start to August suggests that a hot streak could be on the way. Stanton will gear up for a series with the Mariners. He owns three extra-base hits and three RBI in 12 at-bats against Seattle pitching this season.
