Giancarlo Stanton Hits Grand Slam In Sunday's Win
7 months agoNew York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton hit his first grand slam of the year in Sunday's 8-3 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays. He launched a pitch from Blue Jays starter Bowden Francis into the left field seats. It was Stanton's only hit (1-for-4) in Sunday's win. Stanton is slashing .219/.242/.531 with three home runs and seven RBI, good for an OPS of .773 over 33 plate appearances in 2024. If Stanton can finally stay healthy for an entire season, he will be a great source of home runs and RBI, albeit with a low batting average and OBP. Look for Stanton to continue being that power source for the Yankees as long as he is healthy.
