3 years agoNew York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton went 1-for-5 with a homer and two RBI during a 9-8 loss to the Chicago White Sox on Thursday. The four-time All-Star returned to the lineup after a rest day on Wednesday and slugged a two-run, go-ahead homer off of White Sox relief pitcher Liam Hendriks in the ninth inning. The 32-year-old now has 18 HR, 56 RBI, and 42 runs with a .259/.359/.452 line through 343 at-bats. Stanton is also boasting a career-best 56.1% hard-hit rate and is capable of becoming one of the most feared hitters in baseball when locked in.
