Giancarlo Stanton Exits Saturday's Game Early With Hamstring Tightness
5 months agoNew York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton (hamstring) exited Saturday's game early against the Atlanta Braves. He will undergo imaging on Sunday to determine the severity of his hamstring injury. The 34-year-old grimaced in pain when rounding from third base to home in the bottom of the fourth inning. He went 1-for-2 with a double and a run scored before exiting. Trent Grisham replaced Stanton in the Yankees lineup during the bottom of the sixth inning. The imaging results will determine if Stanton will require a trip to the injured list, but he is now considered day-to-day. Grisham should see an uptick in at-bats with Stanton sidelined, but he is not on the fantasy radar after slashing .100/.257/.250 over 74 plate appearances in 2024.
