Giancarlo Stanton Blasts Go-Ahead Home Run In Three-Hit Game
2 months agoNew York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton went 3-for-5 in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Royals, getting the scoring going with an RBI double in the fourth inning that put the Yankees up 1-0, and later hit a go-ahead solo home run in the eighth that proved to be the eventual game-winner. The 34-year-old even stole a base in the contest after not logging a steal during the entire regular season (114 games). With Aaron Judge just 1-for-11 through the first three games of the series, Stanton and Juan Soto have been able to pick up the slack in the middle of the Yankee lineup. They'll look to close out the series on Thursday in Kansas City.
