Gerrit Cole To Make Another Rehab Start Sunday
6 months agoNew York Yankees right-hander Gerrit Cole (elbow) will make another minor-league rehab start on Sunday for Double-A Somerset. In his first rehab start for Somerset on Tuesday, Cole looked very good, throwing 3 1/3 scoreless innings while striking out five and touching 97 mph on the radar gun. The 33-year-old reigning American League Cy Young winner is going to need several more rehab starts as he slowly builds up his pitch count, but after being out all year due to a right-elbow injury suffered in spring training, Cole is nearing his return from the 60-day injured list. When he returns to the starting rotation in the Bronx, Cole will be a must-start in all fantasy lineups right away as one of the most dominant arms in all of baseball.
