Geronimo Allison May Need Surgery
6 years agoGreen Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said that wide receiver Geronimo Allison (groin) saw a core specialist in Philadelphia and is dealing with a significant injury that could require surgery. Dr. William Meyer operated on defensive backs Damarious Randall and Quinten Rollins in recent years. A procedure would likely keep Allison out for the rest of the season. He returned in Week 8 following the team's bye but aggravated his injury and sat out on Monday night. With Allison and Randall Cobb beat up this year, rookie Marquez Valdes-Scantling has stepped up and has a touchdown or 100 yards in four straight games. He's quickly becoming a WR3 and should be owned in the majority of leagues.
