German Marquez Injured Wednesday
5 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher German Marquez left his start early on Wednesday with "full body cramping." It was initially believed that he left the game due to a left hamstring cramp after grabbing his leg after making a warmup pitch before the seventh inning. It doesn't seem like this is a serious injury, but Marquez's next start could be in question. The right-hander had a fine performance against the Dodgers before leaving, allowing only two hits and no runs while walking none and striking out 10 in six innings. Marquez has been up and down this year with a 4.68 ERA and is a much better option away from Coors Field. He's striking out a batter per inning.
