6 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Gerardo Parra was given one of his regular days off on Friday to help rest his veteran legs, but he was still willing to pinch hit for his pitcher when the time came. That time happened to involve loaded bases, and Parra ripped a bases-clearing double that heaped on more runs to help secure the win for the Rockies. Parra is hitting .400 with four doubles, 11 RBI and zero strikeouts over the last week, and he gets to face Miami pitching for two more days before the Rockies head out on a road trip.
