3 months agoNew York Yankees shortstop prospect George Lombard Jr. is being promoted to High-A Hudson Valley, according to Max Goodman of NJ Advance Media. Lombard currently sits as the number six best prospect in the Bronx on MLB.com. The former first-round selection in last year's draft posted a .232/.344/.348 slash line with five home runs, 37 RBI, and 30 swiped bags across 81 games at Single-A this season. The infielder got a brief taste of Single-A ball last summer and held a .273 AVG across the short nine-game stint.
