2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Thursday that top pitching prospect Gavin Stone "makes the most sense" to replace Dustin May (forearm). May is expected to be out 4-to-6 weeks with a flexor strain. Stone struggled in his only MLB appearance, allowing five runs (four earned) on eight hits and two walks while striking one across four innings. The 24-year-old is the Dodger's No. 4 prospect and owns a 4.04 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, and a 41:19 K: BB across 35 2/3 innings for Triple-A Oklahoma City. Michael Grove (groin) is another option to replace Mays in the rotation but is expected to be used in relief for the time being when he does return.
