Gavin Stone Likely To Replace Dustin May
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Thursday that top pitching prospect Gavin Stone "makes the most sense" to replace Dustin May (forearm). May is expected to be out 4-to-6 weeks with a flexor strain. Stone struggled in his only MLB appearance, allowing five runs (four earned) on eight hits and two walks while striking one across four innings. The 24-year-old is the Dodger's No. 4 prospect and owns a 4.04 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, and a 41:19 K: BB across 35 2/3 innings for Triple-A Oklahoma City. Michael Grove (groin) is another option to replace Mays in the rotation but is expected to be used in relief for the time being when he does return. Fantasy managers should stash Stone in all league formats due to his upside.
