Gavin Lux Taking A Seat On Friday
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers second baseman/outfielder Gavin Lux is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against left-hander Blake Snell and the San Diego Padres. Chris Taylor will be in left field for the game with Max Muncy covering the keystone. Lux is coming off of a great month of June. He slashed .341/.389/.476 with one home run, six doubles, two stolen bases, five RBI and 11 runs across the month. Lux is hitting a stellar .292 on the season, but it's come with very little power (two homers, .388 slugging percentage) and only five stolen bases. He's been exclusively hitting in the lower third of the Dodgers' loaded line up and that's not likely to change. He'll likely continue to have some underwhelming counting stats despite potentially being a solid source of batting average.
